HANDMADE PAPER FOLDED INTO THE SHAPE OF A COASTLINE

I grew up in Naples, facing the gulf. Vesuvius on one side, the city curving along the water on the other. It's a view I've carried with me ever since.

I built an accordion book, entirely by hand, that unfolds into that coastline. Each fold captures a different point of the bay, cut and layered in paper, no print, no digital tools.
Slow work, made with scissors, glue and patience.
Opened, the book stands on its own in space. You look at it the way you'd look at the real gulf, moving your eyes across it, fold by fold.
